I really like the content of your first post, and your refinement of it above, but aside from the "stupid" bit, there's no way you can call your advice simple. Anything that takes, what, 2000 words, to explain isn't simple.
I'd just call it "Advice for getting started with Calibre, from an experienced beginner!"
