The binaries will run on the Kindle 3. It's still ARM. However, the Kindle Touch uses a 800MHz cpu while the Kindle 3 uses 533MHz. It wasn't much of a jump from the Kindle 2's 500MHz, so we could run the K3 software on the K2 with some modifications. I'm curious to see if the same could be applied to 4.0 on Kindle 3.

Of course, it would be possible to uninstall the mods and update it, then install them again.
