I may just have to jump in and buy a BL-4C just to test one...

Trouble is that this reader, unlike the EZReader, has a very dinky battery door with tiny plastic hooks rather than burly tabs and a screw to fasten it.

I may try removing the label from a spare BL-5C, but I doubt that I could slim it enough to get the door on without breaking the dainty thing.

On the other hand - it may be just as well (though uglier) to just use the thicker battery and some clear tape and call it good...only time will tell.

I am still very glad to have found this model as I have always been worried as to what I might use to replace what I have, which is perfectly suited to my preferences.

A friend of mine also wants a reader - really liked mine - and now that I have this one in-hand I can honestly recommend it as comparable.
