I'm a complete novice when it comes to setting up a plugboard.
What I would like is to sort it by Author,Title,Series,Series Order,. Would that be enough to enable me to see which book is next in a series or in the case of stand alone novels which book was next in published date.
I see that there appears to be strict format rules and differences for different tablets.
Would it be possible for you to post a simple plugboard which would do what I basically want and I can then experiment.
The plugboard which was already set up in calibre is :- any format,any device, and the source template is :- {series:l l}{series_index0>2s | [|]}{title}} and destination field is title
