Firmware versions summarized

Tiersten posted the changes and fixes in each firmware version in this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...mware+versions This question comes up a lot; we really need to get Tiersten's thread stickied!

I am using the 3.0.3 firmware for my Kindle 3; I've been using it since October and have had no problems. Not sure why Amazon hasn't made it "official" as yet. It seems like the 3.0.1 version was official for about a week when suddenly the 3.0.2 version became the new official version - this is a slight exaggeration, but to me it seemed like a very quick change from official 3.0.1 to beta 3.0.2 to official 3.0.2! In comparison, 3.0.3 is taking a long time to become the authorized version.
