Interesting! I never knew it was so popular in Australia! In Japan, the seniors all play
Gateball, a version of croquet played on a larger field. But many of us ex-pats gather to play Petanque. I've only known one family that brought along 'bowles,' a set that they brought from Italy, calling it 'Bocci' (sp?)
