Frankly, as others have had similar experience with other fonts, I don't think it's the font itself. These fonts perform perfectly in Windows and on other platforms as reported above, in every way, there are no anomalies with using or rendering them there.

I think it's the way the Kobo is calling the fonts. That's most likely where the problem lies in my opinion.
