First published in 1882 in twwo volumes, as a boxed set. Volume 1 contained the two story cycles, "The Suicide Club" and "The Rajah's Diamond", in the manner of the "Arabian Nights" tales but set in contemporary times. Volume 2 contained the remaining stand-alone stories.
