It's actually quite rare that I will re-read a book, mainly because of time constraints. I'm reading more now than I have in years and I still couldn't whip through most books in one sitting.

I don't re-watch movies too much these days either. I might watch again if I'm watching together with someone who hasn't seen the movie before, but gone are the days when I would watch the same movie every day for a month because I loved it so much.

However, I allow for the fact that I might want to re-read and I have done so on occasion (The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper a notable example).

I do love that people treat books like old friends that they rivisit. If my life/lifestyle were different, I would definitely enjoy re-reading with greater frequency than I currently do.
