Yeah, well at least apple maps could be rectified by installing google maps, and you didn't NEED to use siri, but redesigning the system interface doesn't have a fix.
You might try ensuring all your devices have signed SHSH blobs to create your own downgrade "updates". You might need to be jailbroken, or you could use this program:
http://blog.firmwareumbrella.com/faq/ to save them manually while Apple still signs updates.
Or of course switch to Android.
