In my experience, much, much worse.
Maps were a storm in the teacup compared to this nightmare. Apple seems to be going downhill fast.

You are a wise man, and I'm very stupid to have upgraded recklessly.
I'll never upgrade to a major iOS version again, unless it's 100% unavoidable. I'll likely also ditch iOS for Android as soon as my mission-critical apps (like Marvin), or equivalents quality-wise, become available on Android.

I heard something to that effect. These days, I cringe whenever I hear the trumpets of, "Here comes our app in iOS 7 style now!" Almost always, this means the new app version is utterly hideous to look at (like iOS 7 itself), and it may also malfunction. iOS 7 is living hell.
