was going to ask before but i wasn't sure if i could since it was still in its beta stage but what does "remove page numbers" mean regarding the 1.9.6 update. I selected it and the numbers were still there. Or does it mean something else.

Edit-Does the new kobo desktop app fix the issue with updating original kobo's.I hear it says to update it and it goes so far then stops
