That's correct, with the current firmware.......as I think I understand it, to delete a book you either have to use something like mobipocket reader or delete it 'manually' via your favorite file explorer (or equivalent).
Gotta love having a dedicated delete button....does seem a bit dumb not to be able to use it.....!
