Actually, tap on the menu button (4 horizontal lines) and it's "Settings", "About Kobo Reader" (last one on the menu), "System Update".
You then get a pop-up window asking if you want to update now or later. Update now gives you a "Downloading Update" window that says "please do not turn off your Kobo eReader or press any buttons while we download a new update".
Blue line cycles through white bar at bottom of window and the Kobo powers off by itself.
Kobo then powers on with message "Software Update --- the software on your Kobo eReader is being updated. Once the update has completed, it will restart".
Vox restarts by itself, update is done!
