de facto industry standard, and supported on far more devices than any other format. I would suggest that you download the free Mobi desktop reader from mobipocket.com and take a look at some Mobi books for yourself. I think you'll find that it's not nearly as bad as some people like to make out

If you want to buy commercial eBooks you'll find far more available in Mobipocket format than any other.
