Have you tried running the update.exe file again? (It installs drivers while it runs so you might get lucky).

Also try - turn off your PC, plug in the device, turn on the PC (Sometimes works)

Does anything show in Device Manager (You may need to show hidden devices from the View menu), if it does then delete the item (Possibly items - may show as 2 devices), unplug then plug in again.
