An e-ink competitor ready to step up? SiPix Offers 'Evaluation Package'

Ran across this over on the Baen Bar forum.

Apparently SiPix is now offering an evaluation package for their version of electronic paper.

Quote:
Enabling engineers to easily evaluate and implement next-generation display technology into their designs, an electronic paper evaluation and development kit provides a display module, controller, power supply, and supporting documentation. As readable as laser print on paper, the sunlight-viewable e-paper has a viewing angle of almost 180° and draws power only when switching due to its bistable image characteristics.
Laminated on a flexible or rigid electrode-patterned backplane, the e-paper features partitioned microcups that enable not only fine resolution and color segmentation but also mechanical support for impact resistance. Since each pixel is individually sealed, the e-paper can be cut to desired shapes and sizes without any loss in performance. (Contact Mike Beames for pricing—available now.)
