Press the Library icon on your home screen.
Press the Menu (middle) button on the Vox

I'm not concerned about the brightness of the screen, it is the brightness of the light at the head of our bed that bothers me.
I forgot to mention the lighted buttons. I have my Vox in a case and slide a piece of white paper about 3/4" x 3-3/4" down over the buttons. It dims them down to where my screen is and they still work.
