regedit

and navigate to the

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications

key.

2. Locate the name of the application that is not remembered, like

cr3.exe

3. Delete it. Now you should be able to associate it again.

Where do I run this code from? And how? I'm far from stupid, but please bear in mind I have no knowledge or experience with coding.
