If you actually read/watch all the reviews they all say essentially the same thing.
1. The hardware is solid
2. The navigation using the second screen has huge potential
3. All the flaws cited in every review are done so with the caveat that they can be fixed with an over the air update.
The major things have been addressed and while the 1.0 is not as polished as some may like, it's more then enough to get most reviewers to say its a solid reader and on par *if* not ahead of its competition.
Its going to be interesting over the next few months to see the updates coming out of both camps (kindle/nook).
My personal things I find a bit annoying, but am hoping get patched are:
1. Zoom for PDF's.
2. Audible support. ( I just think it should be there even if I don't need it )
