To clarify, if a book does not specify its justification, the Kindle will display it fully justified. If, however, it specifically specifies left justification in its CSS, that will be honoured. So if left justification is your preference, add "text-align: left" to the book's CSS (in the appropriate place) when you do your Calibre conversion, and the Kindle will display the book left-justified.
