Far from being a valid benchmark, but just to share:
I've decided to hard-reset both tablets.
When Surface RT was done resetting, Asus VivoTab still was at 9%.
I know: Windows RT vs. Windows 8. You can't validly compare.
Still: Surprisingly significant differences in speed.
