I've got a Sony AM-FM stereo portable radio that I love and that I've been using daily
since 1983. I bought it because I loved the thinness and the design then, and still do now. The radio has speakers that fold out from the back, and there is also a line-in cord attached to it (that is wrapped and snapped in place, covered by the speakers when they're closed) so the speakers can be used for an MP3 player, phone, etc.
This is the type of thing that Sony used to do when they were ahead of the curve.
