The 350 has 2 GB of in-built memory, which is enough to store hundreds, if not thousands, of books. The 650 has the same amount of in-built memory, plus two memory card slots, and is still limited to organising books by collections, exactly in the same way as the 350. So I don't think any perceived "limited" memory capacity of the devices is the reason for the lack of hierarchical folder support.
