Size of SD card ?

What was the size of the SD card you formatted to Fat not Fat32

There is a funny quirk in Windows Vista and Windows 7 I have run across personally.

If you take an SDHC card (High Capacity) and format it to Fat. Windows Vista and 7 will use the card properly UNTILL you remove it from the system. The operating systems try to think for you so when you put the SD card back in the computer it will detect the card not being formatted properly and won't mount it so you can write to the card again. SOMETIMES you will get a small message box that says there is problem with your media do you wish to correct the problem. If you do not click the no or yes you will not be able to write to the media. If you missed the window while doing something else it will not pop up again unless you remove the card and wait a minute and put it back in again.

I hate operating systems that think they are smarter than the user.

If you have an SDHC card please format it to FAT32 and you will should not have any more problems.
