common problem
Play store's "no connection" issue is not related to the firmware or rom.
I had this problem in other devices and it was easy to fix.
Installing Play store's apk file could be the main cause.
to fix this problem:
1-Remove all apk files which you copied to /system/app/ and reinstall Play Store using the toolkit.
2-Open Settings-> App -> Downloaded -> Google Play services
3-Clear cache, Clear data then Uninstall.
4-Open Settings-> App -> Downloaded -> Google Play Store
5-Clear cache, Clear data then Uninstall.
6-Open Settings-> App -> ALL
7-Clear cache & Clear data --> Google Account Manager, Google Calender Sync, Google Contacts Sync, Google Play Store & Google Service Framework
8-Reboot your device.
9-Install Nova launcher using the toolkit and run play store
Keep in mind, the stock launcher does not show all apps. That is why you have to install a custom launcher. You can also open your browser and open a URL to the play store to run the play store without installing a custom launcher.
