You're right. Usually RSS feeds aren't that useful if you can only extract the title of an article and then link to the article, which itself is not mobile-friendly. Some software, like the eNews Creator by MobiPocket, goes one step further to allow you define what parts of the article you want to extract to your PDA. Other than that I haven't found a great benefit in RSS feeds for PDAs yet.
