Just wanted to give the last update to everyone who followed my story with JBC. Couple days ago I was contacted by Ectaco's representative. She apologized and asked what Ectaco could do for me. I answered that the best thing that Ectaco could do in my situation was to arrange my JBC's return to Ectaco. She was able to do this for me. I have JBC shipped to Ectaco today. I sincerely hope that this story is over and I can add the prefix "ex" to JBC in my profile.
