It's pretty much all ebooks regardless of source. The Kobo uses a page count based, it seems, pretty much on a character count rather than on more sane methods like number of screens & page turns you'd need to get through the book based on your current font settings and any deliberate page breaks in the book (new chapters and so on). ie, the page number displayed will almost never actually have anything to do with the actual page you're on and it is perfectly normal for it to take two, three, or even four page turns for that number to advance.
