If everything goes as expected (...), we shouldnt't have this problem since the current server will continue to run for at least 72 hours and act as a reverse proxy. Requests to the old server will be transparently forwarded to the new server. It may feel a little bit slower due to the extra hub along the network path; but at least, nobody will get stuck while still using the old DNS entries.
But still a good point - we will publish the new IPs for the forum and the wiki on the maintenance page as soon as it is decided.

That's exact. In the US, copyright is more complicated due to the facets in copyright law, such as the several acts extending the terms of copyrights.
