Could Calibre have its own e-reader app?

Wouldn't it be great if Calibre had its own e-reader app to replace Marvin or Mapleread?
Syncing would be perfect. Bookmarks that you make, notes you create would sync and appear on the same book when you open the desktop book viewer, changes to tags and metadata would be synced. Deletions would be synced.
There are so many great functions in the desktop book viewer. If an e-reader app was created by Calibre, and was priced at around £4, it would also bring in revenue for developers?
Just a thought.
