Set in the South Seas, far away from the bitter cold of the Klondike, Adventure was panned by the New Your Times when it was first published. (Here is a link to the original review.)

I agree with the review. Aside from the more famous novels, Jack London was his best as a short story writer. It is sad that more of these short stories have not become as well known.
