Device: Liseuse: Irex DR800. PRS 505 in the house, and the missus has an iPad.
With a DR800 in Vista (an other Windows OSs as far as I know), you have to Eject from Windows Explorer, (right click on device icon and select Eject). Safely Remove doesn't demount the drive. Though nothing fatal seems to happen if you just unplug it - you might have to restart the device to get it to clear the "Connected" screen if you do this though.
