Thank you, itimpi, for answering so quickly.

I've never had a Pandigital Novel which was detected after upgrading to 0.8.2. My IQ (with the same micro-SD) has often been connected to and identified by calibre. The same goes for my Android phone. So far I've never had any problems with my devices. That's why I still think it's a bug.

Can anyone point me to the settings to "disable" the PDNOVEL?
