Baum, L. Frank: Queen Zixi of Ix. v1. 08 Apr 2012

This is an illustrated version of L. Frank Baum's children's novel Queen Zixi of Ix, serialized in the children's magazine St. Nicholas in 1904-1905. The illustrations are all of those that originally accompanied the story in the magazine and are by Frederick Richardson. While this is not an Oz story, some of the characters later appeared in, and places were later referenced in, some of the Oz books.

I based this on the Guttenberg text, although I made a few changes to better match the online library digitized versions of the original magazine pages, restoring several paragraphs and one chapter title where two chapters had been merged. Illustrations are mainly from the magazine, with some from other sources and one from the 1905 book, so while the quality of most are extremely good, a few needed to be adjusted due to fading and yellowing pages.
