Thank you for the suggestion, but the ID attribute was there in addition to the name attribute. The name not referring to anything. I will of course keep that in mind in the future. Now, running epubcheck 4.0.2 (
https://github.com/IDPF/epubcheck/releases) it seems I have a perfectly formed epub.
