I can verify this comment as an owner of one of the buggy Australian devices (the original 2.0.0 update bricked my KT).
On the weekend with a little trepidation I synced via desktop. The first update appeared to reinstall 2.0.0 (with a July release date from memory). Another Sync immediately after got me 2.0.4 r41166. No sign of 2.1.4 as yet.
