I enjoyed 'The Act of Roger Murgatroyd' by Gilbert Adair, a witty homage to 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' by Agatha Christie.
The action takes place over Christmas, at a secluded country house cut off from the outside world by a snowstorm.
