Pouring rain all day - so I read Death at La Fenice by Donna Leon - the first book of the Guido Brunetti series - FINALLY available as an ebook! Not too hard to figure out who done it, but the Venetian setting & history are delightful. Will give this series a try! Brunetti is the kind of detective I call "kind, compassionate, decent man in the midst of corruption/temptation" - like Maigret, Alleyn, Gamache.
