Thank you for that SmokeAndMirrors! Sounds very much like my to article writing in my "hayday" such as it was.

I could generally crank out my Science and Technical articles in a couple of days and the format/style/organization was second-nature.

My fiction and poetry which I feel is my most successful to date also came from a "just start it" approach to get the feeling/emotion/story on paper and then (not always but often) revise to make it stronger.
