You could consider another option. If you happen to find yourself subscribing to threads where the post count goes up fast, you might not want to receive an email every time that there is a new post (like the "New Kobo Aura HD eInk eReader 1440x1080" thread in the News section that received almost 600 posts in 10 days).
So the option is this: look at the User CP > New Subscribed Threads
The list contains the threads that you are subscribed to that have new posts. If you click on the box with the arrow pointing down that is just before the title of the thread it will take you to the first unread post.
