Your library is empty!

I don't know how many still have a Vox, but mine is still a great reader, if a buggy, underpowered tablet. Lately, instead of the the usual home page, mine now shows a picture of a book with the pages fanned out and the message "Your library is empty! Visit the Kobo store to find your next read!" with a button [VISIT KOBO STORE]. But when I touch the Library icon, I see I have some books there. I haven't used the Kobo native reader in years because I use Aldiko. Anyone else see this? Can you explain it?
