Well, the Sony connect software can go stuff itself, I'm sticking with Calibre

Other than that, the new firmware runs nice. The reader seems more responsive, snappier. Random PDF reading is actually possible, instead of hoping the text will be readable and/or formatting it for the Sony, although it still gets a little confused on documents with footnotes.

For instance, this article on privacy (interesting read, btw) which is not all that complex and only has 28 pages seems to flummox the reader here and there, although it is better than it was with the previous firmware. OTOH, a 1300 page Vista "bible" PDF I had lying around not only looked great, but switching font sizes took very little time. Changing the font size on bbeb files still happens at the same speed.
