Updating to iOS8 will require compatibility fixes.
Philantrop will try to update both plugins to work with iOS8 as soon as possible, hopefully within the next few days.

I would advise in general not to update iOS until you know the stuff you use has been updated. Not just this, either. Many apps probably need to be updated also, etc.
