Free books (Kobo) - 20 Dorchester Publishing Books (Romance, Horror, Thriller etc.)

Well, 20 free Dorchester Publishing books from their Leisure and Love Spell imprints have just shown up at Kobo, free for Canadians, at least. May be a glitch, enjoy while it lasts.

Romantic Comedy

Divorced, Desperate, and Dating by Christie Craig. This one was an Amazon freebie a couple of weeks ago. 2nd in a trilogy.

The Accidental Demon Slayer, by Angie Fox. Also a former Amazon freebie. 1st in a series, and very funny, even if not all that well written. I read this on the bus, and it's got a roadkill-flinging senior citizen biker gang witch coven. What more could you ask from a paranormal romance?

Trouble in Mudbug, by Jana DeLeon

Paranormal Romance

Crimson & Steam, by Liz Maverick. Part of the Crimson City series, book 1 of which was free @ Amazon some weeks ago.

A Taste of Magic, by Tracy Madison

Divine Fire, by Melanie James. Description says it's got Lord Byron in it. Why do people keep trying to make him immortal?

Immortals: The Calling, by Jennifer Ashley. Part of a series. Another book in it by Joy Nash (who also has a historical freebie below), is currently free in the Kindle store.

Pandora's Box, by Natalie Stenzel.

See also "The Accidental Demon Slayer" above for a comedic take on PNR tropes. Also a great way to replace the dreaded Topaz format that the original Amazon freebie came as, if that matters to you.

Historical Romance

Sweet Release, by Pamela Clare

Noble Intentions, by Katie McAllister

Savage Autumn, by Constance O'Banyon. First Nations.

Celtic Fire, by Joy Nash. Set in Roman Britain.

Sci-Fi Romance

The Star King, by Susan Grant. It's like the gender-switched porno version of Le Petit Prince! I hope it comes with baobab trees and a jealous flower. And maybe uses "raking out volcanoes" as a euphemism for something interesting.

Romantic Mystery/Suspense

Stolen Fury, by Elizabeth Naughton, part of her "Stolen" trilogy. Another book by this author is Marked, part of a paranormal series currently offered free @ Amazon.

Spying in High Heels, by Gemma Halliday. Another freebie from the author whose book turned out to be not-so-free on B&N last Friday.

Romance I'm Not Familiar Enough With to Categorize

Squeeze Play, by Kate Angell. Contemporary romance, according to persons more familiar with the genre. Part of a series having to do with baseball, I think another book in it is currently free @ Amazon.

Seven Brides: Rose, by Leigh Greenwood. First in a series of seven brides for seven brothers, presumably not tying into the classic movie.

Horror

The Cellar, by Richard Laymon.

Thriller

What Burns Within, by Sandra Ruttan

Hunt at the Well of Eternity, by Gabriel Hunt. Looks like a Da Vinci Code-esque hunt for the mystical MacGuffin via old secrets type of thing.
