Ancient Dreams by New Zealand author Marc Alexander (SFE) is the 1st novel in his Wells of Ythan quartet of epic fantasy set in a fairy tale-styled world, this installment featuring an apprentice toymaker's quest to find a vanished enchanted princess to unseat the obligatory tyrannical regent, free courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint, who are e-printing it from its 1988 edition originally out from Headline.
