myebook.com contest for Read an E-Book Week

Rita Toews of Read an E-Book Week passes on this contest for all e-book comers!

myebook, provider of a free browser-based e-book creation software, is hosting an e-book contest in recognition of Read an E-Book Week.

From now until March 14th you are invited to create an e-book, or a book trailer to publicize your book, on the powerful myebook publishing platform. Once you've created your book, add it to the 'E-book Week' community on the site. myebook.com will judge the entries based on best use of the full capabilities of the software tools. The winner will have their entry added to the carousel of books on the front page of the website for one week, between the Universal Pictures book and Capcom.

myebook.com, a British based company, offers their software as a free full-featured beta release. It has the ability to publish any personal or corporate publication, whether it be novels, childrens' books, magazines, comics, photo albums, leaflets, brochures, or instruction manuals. You can even embed or link to videos, audio, documents, images and flash files to make your books fully interactive.

Simon Whithall, head of myebook.com communications, comments: "Our audience is everyone from the kid at school who's just written a short story in English class; to his sister who wants to document a recent family trip; to the author who wants to share the novel he's just finished; to his friend who wants to share the novel he's sat on for 20 years!"

Once you have created an ebook in the system, you can put it in front of pretty well anyone on-line. You can embed it into your web-site, add it to myebook's application in Facebook to then send out to the entire Facebook community. Embed it into Myspace, send a link for people to open and send a screen grab. From their system you can link out to your retailer, e-commerce system, distributor - whomever.
