Question Several Questions

I just recently purchased the Kobo Touch and I have some questions that can't be answered by a quick search.

1. I understand Kobo keeps track of what books have been accessed, what page I was last on in a book, what books are completed, etc. Where does Kobo store this information?
a. Is there a way to delete this information?
b. Is there a way to delete only parts of this information? (ie The file/database knows I read 2 books on my Kobo. Can I edit it so that it only has a record of me reading 1 of the 2 books?
c. Is the information of books on microSD card handled the same way as information of books on the internal memory?

2. I understand it's got a web browser. Does it keep a history?
a. Is there a way to delete browser history?
b. Is there a way to delete only parts of browser history? (ie Remove only certain pages visited from the history.)

3. I've put books on a microSD, finished reading it, and then in the library section chose to delete and confirmed the deletion. However, after taking out the microSD and plugging it in to my computer, I see the file is still there. Plugging the microSD back in reloads the book into the library like it was never deleted. Why doesn't delete actually delete?

4. I've found a thread or two discussing it, but the whole "my Kobo Touch seems to turn on by itself after it's been powered off" doesn't seem to be completely solved. I've just got mine in the last 5 days and have updated the firmware using the official deskop software. I noticed 2-3 occasions where it turned itself back on. I've set it to sleep after 5 minutes and power off after 10 minutes.
a. I've turned "Book Cover" off for both screens. What is "Book Cover"?

5. The home screen shows up to 5 book covers of recent library additions. I don't care for this feature. Can I turn it off?

Bonus: Why are Kobo Touch covers/cases all so expensive, flimsy-looking, and/or girly/colourful? (Where can I get a cheap, sturdy, plain-looking cover/case?!)

I like the Kobo Touch so far and none of these questions/issues make me want to return it just yet, but it does make me question why I paid $150 after tax for all these little hassles.
