I am currently looking for an e-ink reader but I feel a little overwhelmed by the choices.
Crucial features:- Not a Kindle (barring an excellent reason)
- Can use calibre plugins
- Not a Yotaphone or those gigantic and costly 13'' readers
Optional features, from highest to lowest in terms of importance:- A good build, high reliability and a pleasure to actually use
- flexible in terms of what the user can do with it (basically, I want to avoid the "walled garden" design choice, but if the build is good enough I can overlook that)
- Can read both mobi and epub files
- Physical page turn buttons
- A backlight
- An orange light feature similar to f.lux
- A color other than white
That's a lot of unreasonable demands but I'm happy to listen to any suggestion even if they have few of the optional features. Old and obscure devices are fine too. Thanks for reading
