Stevens, Francis: The Heads of Cerberus. v1. 09 June 07

This is considered the first alternate universe novel, written by Francis Stevens (pseudonym of Gertrude Barrows Bennett, 1883-1948), an important figure in the development of the science fiction and fantasy novel.

I've included one nice [cover] illustration, with the same illustration on the last page of the "Table of Contents." The illustration is from The Thrill Book, 1919, where the novel first appeared.

I hope you enjoy it.
